Hello,
Regarding funding – there is an organization in town called Bread for the Journey. They provide small amounts of money. This is the web site with the current email contact: http://www.breadforthejourney.org/location.htm. I think they would be interested in what you’re doing.
Hope you find some assistance. I love what you’re doing.
Lydia
Lydia,
Thanks so much for the tip! I will check them out.

I am a 2008 graduate of the PRIDE Program, and I want to thank you for being involved., though I didn’t get to experience your particular segment of the program. The program changed my life and helped me realize that I had a lot to contribute to society.
When I have some money to spare, I will send you some because I truly believe in what you’re doing..
I wish I could sign my name, but I am still very closeted about my time in Travis County.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I don’t get the chance to keep in touch with the women I work with, so I’m really happy to hear from someone who benefited from the PRIDE program. I understand why you would keep your time in Del Valle to yourself, but I also hope that everyone else can have more empathy for people who have been incarcerated and realize that we’re all human beings who can deserve respect.
Good luck in all your ventures!
It’s a great idea and much needed. Everybody needs a hand up in this life. We’re all human after all.
