Conspire Theatre will continue to run a weekly theatre class inside the Travis County Correctional Complex throughout the rest of 2011. This fall, we will also be starting monthly workshops in the free world for women in the community and women who have been released from incarceration. Check back for details – all women will be welcome, regardless of experience.
Later this summer, we’ll be starting a fundraising campaign on IndyGoGo – expect a big announcement when it begins! Pitch Productions is currently working on a promotional video, which will be fantastic. We can’t to show the world what we do!
In the future, our goal is to establish a permanent group on the inside of several facilities, as well as a theater group on the outside for women who have been through the criminal justice system. We are always looking for like minded people to help us in our dream. If you have ideas, resources and time, let us know!
